This page is being reduced as one can not keep up with links that change every 30 seconds. In time these pages might have some trivia on old radio stations and tv stations that might not exist anymore. Another problem is very few broadcasters are based in Litchfield Co8unty but many have signals that cover the area.

This area is very 'hilly' and Radio-TV reception can be very very erratic depending upon the exact spot you are in. You can tune your radio better than I can tell you what radio station you can hear but at present there are only a few radio stations in NW Connecticut: WSNG-Torrington-610khz 1000watts day-500w night...WKZE Sharon,Ct. 1020khz is licensed out of Sharon but has a small transmitting tower in Millerton, N.Y. 30? miles away !!! This is a daytime only station. You might recieve 860khz WSBS (daytimes) out of Great Barrington, Ma. and a good one is WGY 810khz Schenectady, N.Y. in the Albany area. The weather here often mimicks the Albany,N.Y. area. For FM RADIO it depends on exact spot you are in. There are a few Litchfield County stations but otherwise many out of area stations depending upon your elevation and lack of hills, etc.
I will include some radio stations, etc.now and maybe more later but if website has a theme of NW Connecticut its hard to choose what you might hear and include all New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut?

grrrr...why so many New York? This web site is concentrating on NW Connecticut area but maybe you sit on a big hill and get all the New York stations on a VERY HOT day and can not drink a cold beverage??
